Intermediate ECG Workshop is a collaboration workshop between the Department of Emergency Medicine, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and Cardiology Unit, Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II (HRPZ II).

The two-day workshop provides a platform for knowledge exchange between healthcare providers, frontliners, consultant cardiologists and emergency physicians, to name a few. Our colleague from Schiller Asia Pacific along with our distributors have participated in the workshop and have showcased our products to the participants. Among them are medilogAR Holter recorder, BR-102 plus PWA ABPM, and our ECG machines: AT-1 G2, FT-1 and AT-102 G2.
Through the demonstration, we have explored how our product features could be used enhance clinical workflows at various levels. Our ECG machines comes with automatic lead-placement fault detection, and also anatomical model for leads placement for the intermediate and advanced models. The junior nurses and practitioners do find this feature exceptionally helpful, be it for emergency use, or for routine cardiology uses. Further to that, the optional interpretation software ETM with ETM sports is also very helpful in supporting clinical decisions.
For emergency applications, Culprit Coronary Artery Algorithm (CCAA) in our ECG machines could be used shorten the time interval between onset of pain and medical attention. Using only the standard 12-lead ECG, the site of occlusion of a STEMI patient could be localized very quickly; with the knowledge of how far the site of occlusion is from the coronary artery, the risks of level of the patient could be stratified for triaging.
The wide range of clinical application of medilogAR Holter recorder was also presented that day. With recording length up to 14 days or its ultra high resolution recording, medilogAR is well suited for use in research. Its dual battery design ensures uninterrupted measurements as the patients leaves the healthcare facilities for home.
